One of my friends came out to me this weekend. I asked him why he has had such a hard time with himself for the past few years. He said “Because 97% of people do not accept the way I feel or how I see things, or how I see myself.” My answer to him.
“Since where have we gone as a planet with 97% of people thinking something was crazy and not the 3% of people to do it? Columbus was one man, less than that of 3% census, yet his personal belief led to much bigger and better things, expansion of a species. If everyone went with the 97%, we would still be cavemen. It takes the 3% to revolutionize a society, it takes the courage and passion to fight the group-think mentality and to actually achieve something.”
